In 2013 I was contacted by Savage IO to make a looping animation that would be displayed on their show-floor and at conventions. The animation showcases their (new standard) product, the Databrick.
The animation features three particle streams that represent performance, networking and enterprise class storage. The streams converge to create a model of the Databrick. The owner was big on explosions and requested to have a few in the animation. So, I obliged.
A unique aspects of this project was that two HDTVs were used to display the animation, which required the video to be made at a 32:9 aspect ratio (3840 x 1080).
Another cool thing about this project was the massive amount of Trapcode Particular that I was able to incorporate into this project (I <3 Particles). I also enjoyed learning how to use Video Copilot's Element 3D for the modeling. It was a real time saver.
